What Say You?

Do you have something interesting to share and converse about? Is there something that Colorado Springs should know, but doesn't seem to be aware of? If you would like to write something, have us publish it here on our site so others can learn and talk about it, then please click here and submit an article. You don't even have to sign up or share your contact information. We just want your name and your story about our city.

Just came across this fascinating study done by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation in conjunction with Gallup:

Learned that social offerings, openness, and aesthetics are the top three community attributes that attach people to their community. Isn't it interesting that leadership, economy, and safety aren't even in the top five?

The questions for you are:

What attaches you to Colorado Springs?

And what can we do to increase social offerings and openness in Colorado Springs (pretty sure we're doing alright on aesthetics)?

We would love to hear what you have to say about this.

Maybe if we had more social offerings, talented young people would stick around. What do they mean by openness?

"openness — How welcoming the community is to different types of people, including families with young children, minorities, and talented college graduates" from http://www.soulofthecommunity.org/sites/default/files/OVERALL.pdf
